Djabel Manishimwe, a midfielder, has signed with USM Kenchela of Algeria’s Ligue 1 for an undisclosed sum.
The 25-year-old international from Rwanda transferred to Mukura Victory Sports on loan from APR after being informed that he was no longer in the club’s plans.
Before deciding to join Kenchela, he participated in two league games for the Huye-based team this season.
“A great player who, with God’s help, will strengthen the federation. A frequent member of the Rwandan national team,” the club stated upon Manishimwe’s signing.
Before having a disagreement with the then-coach Adil Mohammed in the 2022–23 season, the gifted offensive midfielder served as APR’s captain.
After Ben Moussa took over, he eventually lost his spot on the team and spent most of his time on the bench.
Mourad Okbi is the manager of Kenchela, who placed eighth in the Algerian Ligue 1 in the 2022–23 campaign.
