Rayon Sports head coach Yamen Zelfani claims he and Bonheur Hategekimana are on good terms and dismisses any potential breach with his shot stopper.
Players had to separate the duo during a fierce brawl following Blues’ 2-1 win against Gasogi on Friday night at Kigali Pelé Stadium.
Zelfani informed the reporters after the game that they had addressed their differences and explained what caused the incident.
Rayon Sports goalkeeper Bonheur Hategekimana and team Captain Abdoul Rwatubyaye struggle for the ball against a Gasogi United striker during a 2-1 league encounter at Kigali Pele Stadium.
“It just stopped there.” It’s merely a miscommunication. “Bonheur is a winner; he always wants to win, and when he conceded a goal, he reacted with his teammate in a way that I did not appreciate,” he stated.
“The players are now back together, and everybody is happy,” continued the Tunisian.
Rayon led 2-0 but Theodor Malipangou scored a penalty goal in the 89th minute to give the Blues a 2-1 victory.
